1. Download a torrent client, for this tutorial i'm gonna use uTorrent
- Go and download uTorrent from http://www.utorrent.com/ make sure you choose the Free Download instead of the pro
- After you've downloaded it open the downloaded file and install
- Congratulations you've successfully installed your first uTorrent
2. Using the client
- Go to a trusted torrent site, this one is my favorite http://kat.cr/
- Download the file you want
- The downloaded file should be a .torrent file format, open it
- If you open it, the uTorrent client is opened, some windows will popup, there you can click OK or you can first check some options there like where the destination folder of the downloaded file will be and some other things
- Your file will be downloaded
3. Important thing to know about torrenting
- Download files that you TRUST! whether it's from a trusted uploaded or from comments. That is why you should always the comment section of the file that you want to download
- Search for file that have atleast a decent ammount of seeders, the more seeders there are, the faster your download speed will be. There should be more seeders than leechers, the less leechers the better
- There is more advanced options for torrenting but this is for beginners so... yeah
